Great high quality and stays inflated.

Good example that you get what you pay for. I've bought more than one other, less expensive air wedge that either didn't hold air from the get-go or did for a short time, then failed. I have this one, and have used it constantly for a few months, not having to inflate it after the initial time. I did inflate it and deflate it when I first got it, just to see how it works doing both operations. It takes using my body weight to help deflate, but that's no issue. It takes a few minutes to fully inflate, but that's okay too. My wife liked it so much that I bought a second, larger one for myself and gave this one to my wife. Happy wife, happy wife.

Good for acid reflux at home or travel

I have acid reflux and need to sleep on an angle, so my bed frame is tilted up. I needed a solution for when I travel, however, and stay in hotels. This was best solution for me (not as good as tilting the bed frame up) but still worked without straining my neck with extra pillows. It blows up by itself when you turn the dial on the side, and stays inflated in its "natural" state. You have to squeeze out all the air when you want to deflate it, then turn the dial off or else it will inflate again by itself. The storage/travel bag that comes with it helps keep it compressed, but the only reason I gave it one less star is that it's a little large to pack when you travel. If you just use it at home however, and don't need to pack it, it's five stars.

Works perfectly, easy to set up and not terribly difficult to pack up.

I just returned from a two-week cruise and found the wedge to be perfect for my needs. I suffer from GERD and use an adjustable bed frame at home. Travel with reflux has always been an issue, so I thought I'd give the wedge a shot. To make a long story short, it was well worth the price and the small effort required to set it up, and the somewhat greater effort to deflate it and pack it up.

I put my wedge in a piece of checked luggage. It packs up nicely into a provided bag and is secured with Velcro straps that hold it in place nicely. It took up a little over one-third of one side of my standard-sized suitcase.

When I was ready to use it, I unrolled it and opened the valve. It automatically self-inflated to around 3/4 full; not bad without a pump. I had to top it off manually by blowing into it but it didn't take much effort for this 70-year-old to get it into firm shape. It held air with no problem for the entire two weeks on board.

Very pleased!

I ordered the 30 inch Self-Inflating Bed Wedge Pillow last minute just before my cruise and it arrived quickly with Prime. I was hoping it was going to be sturdy and comfortable and it did not disappoint. Having reflux, I cannot lay flat after eating. I didn't have any issues with reflux during the cruise. The pillow was easy to inflate. I had bought and used a mini travel air pump to help it along but it probably wasn't needed. It started inflating as soon as I opened the valve. I even ended up letting a little air out for comfort. I'm very happy with my decision to purchase the pillow.
